Derek Sang is the founder and subject matter expert behind FRAR Safety LLC, an independent consulting, training, speaking, and expert witness practice focused on flame-resistant and arc-rated clothing. With more than 25 years of experience across the FR/AR industry, Derek brings a practical understanding of garment service, fabric technology, manufacturing, standards, training, and program development. His work is focused on helping organizations move beyond written policies and make better decisions in the field.
Derek's message is straight forward: an FR/AR garment program must do more than satisfy a requirement. It must protect workers, be understood by the people expected to follow it, and address the predictable failures that lead to injuries.
He currently serves as Senior Technical Training Manager for Bulwark Protection and Workrite Fire Service and has delivered more than 500 live and virtual presentations to utilities, oil and gas companies, industrial organizations, fire service professionals, and safety leaders.
